Eurocup.org - Euro 2012 Fan Zone

Hi - I am going to be in Ukraine from 16 - 21 June. We (3 of us) are flying into Kiev on Saturday 16th, departing back to London on Thursday 21st, and we have tickets for Ukraine v England on Tuesday 19th. Our plan is to stay two nights in Kiev, then travel overnight by train to Donetsk for the game. We have booked to stay at the camping park in Donetsk on that night. We still need to find somewhere to stay in Kiev on 16 and 17 June. Any ideas? It would be good to find somewhere cheap, and great if we could meet some local people. In 2006 we went to Hamburg under a scheme called "Host a Fan" and stayed with a family. Is there anything like this planned?
And what is the best way to get train tickets from Kiev to Donetsk?

Hi Savannah! Thank you for your reply. I have looked at the link you sent me. We are hoping to get somewhere for $125 or less for two nights in Kiev. The first two apartments had a minimum of 3 nights, so I have asked if it is possible to stay for just 2. Fingers crossed. Any other advice or help you can give is gratefully received!

Euro 2012. Accommodation in Donetsk.
Private new house, 15 minutes drive from Donbass-Arena, 4 rooms for 3 or 5 people in every room, conditioners, bathroom (bathcabine with bathtub and shower), Internet Wi-Fi, kitchen, refrigerator, microwave, TV, iron and ironing board, covered summer terrace with barbecue grill, cooking national dishes, trip transfers to/from the rail station or the airport, to/from Donbass-Arena.
Apartments with condition are € 65/ night per person. Apartment without conditioner is € 60/ night per person.
Trip transfers to/from the rail station or the airport € 9,4 per 4 persons, to/from Donbass-Arena € 5.3 per 4 persons.
If you want we can discuss a proposition of transporting and overnight stopping of a fan group in Kiev for the final EURO2012 on our conditions (the proposition is indeed until the end of March).
