After Athletico Madrid's win in Europa League final last season the second after Champions League European football club competition start again. The 2012/2013 Europa League final will be held at the Amsterdam Arena.
For the biggest clubs the new season of Europa League - the group stage begins on 20 September, 2013.
However, many football clubs start Europa League competition from qualifying rounds: first, second and third called play-offs. The winners of third round will advance to the group stage phase of Europa League.

The UEFA Cup changes into the UEFA Europa League since 2009/10.
Beside different logo, name and brand identity the Europa League changes the whole format of the UEFA Cup and create a true group stage, with both home and away matches.
It will be similar to the UEFA Champions League format.
